LPNAO's 32nd Annual Student Convention held on April 12th, 2011 was "off the hook!" We convened at the Champions Center Expo, one of the nation's premier exposition centers. There were practical nursing students from all over the state of Ohio representing their respective nursing school. The Chairperson, Cathleen Moore, SPN) from Stautzenberger College presided over the convention like a Pro! |

Our speakers Steve Doyle-Education Excecutive of the College Network, Terry Pope, MS, BSN, RN-President of Nursing Institute for Continuing Education, R. Wynne Simpkins, RN, MSN-President of RWS Education and Sarajane Blatt, RN, MSN- Instructor of Cincinnati State College were at the "top of their game" with the knowledge they shared.
There were several door prizes and raffles;
which kept the day fun as well as interesting. Teri Pearson (left) is the 2011
Essay winner and recipient of $150 first prize. Her Essay is entitled, "At

The schools with 100% Membership received Certificates of acknowledgment. Then several schools showed-off their uniforms in a "parade" as we watched in awe!
We would like to thank the following individuals for helping to make this convention a success: Carol Hunter, LPN and Anna Marie Chambers,LPN, Student Council Advisors; Members of Division 12 (Columbus, OH) and our State Chaplains, Martha Pack, LPN; Asia Jackson, SPN; Teresa Gonyer, SPN- Secretary of Student Council; Imlay's Uniform Shop (Vendor) for being present and donating a valuable door prize to support us; Nora Beamish and Terry Windle, State Office staff.
