1 - LPN Refresher Course
This information is provided by
LPNAO for individuals interested in using the curriculum
developed for LPNAO to assemble a refresher course to be used by
licensed practical nurses.
Overview
The total LPN
Refresher Course consists of four (4) modules. Each module
totals 16 to 50 clock
hours of instruction. Review of academic content and unit
testing are part of these specified hours.
The course outline indicates the amount of time allotted to
class sessions, testing, and the place-
ment of content exams. Time allotted to classroom sessions is
broken down into suggested
components, thus permitting a break. These components are
recommendations only.
Time components for individual units are suggested and may be
adjusted at instructor discretion,
with the exception of those designated Category A, law and
rule. It is required that all class com-
ponents equal the hours specified for each unit. Each
instructor using the LPNAO course outline is
to break down presentation time into minutes per topical area.
The suggested time frames for each
topic area are on each outline, but the overall time frames for
each module should not be changed. |
