Still Accepting Nurse Convention Registrations!October 20th - 22nd, 2011 Come and enjoy our 62nd Annual Convention at the relaxing, newly renovated Holiday Inn in beautiful Lima, Ohio. 803 S. Located in the cozy cross-woods community of Lima, OH, just off I-75 at exit 125, so getting around the area is easy. Nearby attractions include: Allen County's best attractions! Spend an afternoon at Artspace/Lima and purchase a glass vase or ceramic sculpture by a local artist. Kids love to play at the Children's Discovery Center in the Allen County Museum, which also boasts historical exhibits for adults. Encore Theater hosts numerous events throughout the year, so remember to check their show schedule while in town. Other local attractions include Memorial Hall, Limaland Motorsports Park and Young County Fairgrounds. Oh yeah!....Did I mention you can also earn up to 9 CE's during this event? Marketing Package #2 (Door Prizes)Donate Door Prize/s to our Annual State Convention. Your contribution may be tax deductible under our 501-C3 arm (Mildred H Smith Foundation). LPNAO Convention News Congratulations to Elizabeth Santos-Mountel (fourth person on top row) the recipient of the LPN of The Year Award at our 61st Annual Convention. We were blessed with an abundance of new information through the wonderful speakers. Attendees received 15 CEs for class time spent. The accommodations at the beautiful DoubleTree Hotel were tops! The service they provided was outstanding, not to mention the tasty meals served throughout our convention. The only thing missing was more nurses to enjoy this great event. This year, we are planning early for another successful LPNAO Convention to be held next October (20-22) 2011. With keeping family in focus, we have decided to move the usual Halloween week convention to the week prior to Halloween in hopes to increase attendance. We realize many had other obligations and we wish to accommodate as many people as possible. Events this great only happen once a year! So, start planning to help us make next year’s convention one of the biggest in recent years.
